Do you take commissions?

Commissions are currently closed for right now unless you’ve commissioned me before or are a personal friend while I figure out a new way to take and streamline the commission process. Thank you for your patience!

What supplies/tools do you use?

Digital Art:

• iPad pro 12.9 and Apple Pencil (2nd gen)

• Wacom Cintiq 12WX

• Clip Studio Paint (Main Program)

• Photoshop CS6 (Editing)

Watercolors:

I currently use Sakura Koi Watercolors in both tubes and pans.

Gouache:

I use Reeves Gouache as I am still currently fiddling with the medium.

Brushes:

Anything that I can paint with and won’t shed. I buy a lot of my brushes on sale from Michaels or from local art stores if I can.

Paper:

I really enjoy Arches for large sheets of paper, but for smaller 5x7 sheets I like to use Bee Paper

Did you go to art school?

I am primarily self taught. I took a few art classes that were offered where my mother taught for a few years in still life, acrylics and clay. While the classes were fun, I knew art school or university wouldn’t have been right for me for multiple reasons. I do believe that art school can be and is beneficial, it just wasn’t in the cards for me. If you’re looking for advice on whether or not you should go to art school, it’s best to do your research on schools and seek the opinion of other artists (because everything above is my own opinion) before deciding.
